First, If you try to do this on your own you might, and most likely, will disturb the asbestos, and then it will be in the air with you breathing in it. This is very dangerous and harmful. First, we put all of the removed asbestos into special asbestos disposal bags for later disposal. While you do that you have to keep any other wast wet while the job is being done. We do this to decrease the amount of dust in the air. We also have to remove the asbestos without breaking it, if we broke it there would be asbestos particles in the air. Asbestos can be in any of the below: 

  • Roofing and siding shingles 
  • Floors and walls around wood-burning stoves
  • Coal and Oil furnaces 
  • Automobile clutches and brakes 
  • Attic and wall insulation   
  • Vinyl floor tiles 
  • Heat resistant fabrics

  • Asbestos cement pipe and sheet material
